Is Your Garden Ready For Alfresco Dining?

Get Ready For Alfresco Dining

There is no better way to celebrate the warm sunny days of summer than with alfresco dining. Eating your meals outdoors, whether it is a summertime barbeque party or you're simply enjoying breakfast in your garden, is one of the simple joys of summer. While alfresco dining is great, it’s not as enjoyable if your garden isn’t ready for outdoor dining. Here are our tips for ensuring your garden is ready for alfresco dining.

Having a well kept and tidy garden will make it a much more enjoyable space in which to enjoy your meals. Ensure your lawn is regularly cut and that your flower beds have had the weeds removed. Also, planting lots of flowers and plants will help to make your garden bloom into the perfect environment to enjoy your alfresco dining.

A storage shed is often a great way to keep gardens clear from clutter and unnecessary mess, plus with so many styles available you can be sure you’ll find the right one to suit your garden’s size and design. Outdoor storage boxes are brilliant for tidying up garden toys in a hurry.

Design the perfect spot

When it’s sunny and warm there is no better way to enjoy alfresco dining than by having a barbeque. A great way to make sure your barbeques fit in with your garden’s design is to create a dedicated barbeque area.

If you have a small garden, consider making the area multi-purpose. Create a space for your barbecue during the summer, which can then be repurposed whilst your bbq is tucked away in the shed for the winter.

Alternatively, if you have a larger garden and enjoy regular grill-outs with the family, then you can dedicate a larger area to your barbeque. Having everything specially designed and at hand will make those last minute evening barbecues a breeze!

Plenty of seating

Having a stylish and comfortable outdoor dining set is an alfresco dining essential. Make sure you have enough seats first of all to fit your household, then think about additional seating for guests. You can always look at adding in some versatile seating, such as an outdoor storage box that doubles up as a bench seat. Or if you have the storage space, invest in some outdoor stacking chairs or folding chairs, so you will always have last minute additional seating at the ready.

Brighten up the place

Enjoy your new outdoor dining space for longer by filling it with solar garden lights. Making sure the space is well lit, means you can entertain well into the evenings and create a relaxing setting for your guests. Not to mention it will make cleaning up much easier if you can see what you are doing. Solar lights are brilliant for any outdoor space as they run on renewable energy, making them low cost and avoiding the hassle of remembering to change the batteries!

Keep it cosy Although summer evenings are beautiful, they are not always warm! Adding a fire pit or patio heater to your outdoor dining space is a reliable way to keep everyone toasty. Keep a stack of freshly washed fleecy throws and blankets near your back door, so you can be ready to offer them to guests if the weather changes. Above all, design a space that fits you and your family - and enjoy yourselves this summer!
